Stillwater, Minnesota is about thirty miles south of Duluth and offers a great deal of history, with tours of the Grand Portage, which was used for trading in the days before civilization. This was just north of Stillwater during the Klondike Gold Rush. You can tour the town of Stillwater, or ride horseback to explore the attractions that Stillwater has to offer.

Coon Rapids, Minnesota is another personal favorite for me. If you want to live in the country while enjoying the pleasures of life in Minnesota, Coon Rapids is just the place for you. This small town offers accommodations for people who like to eat off of the land and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.

Blaine, Minnesota is a beautiful town where the lakes and hillsides surround a small town with a small downtown. Located south of Stillwater, this quaint city boasts of a lively downtown with places of interest. Blaine is an interesting town and has many things to do in addition to the shopping opportunities found at stores in downtown.

Green Bay, Wisconsin is a charming town of under a hundred people, but a town full of interesting things to do. Green Bay is in the middle of Wisconsin, and about an hour from Milwaukee. This quaint town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and lakes and has hiking trails for anyone who wants to get out into nature.

Sherburne, Minnesota is a unique vacation spot for those who love to hunt. These people would be surprised to learn that there are more than one hundred thousand elk in this tiny community. Sherburne is a town that you will want to stop by when you are in Minnesota.

St. Cloud, Minnesota is a town that is nestled in the center of the Pine River Valley on the shores of Lake Michigan. There are many places to stay in this small town, so you can spend a few days exploring St. Cloud and its surrounding areas. You can go to the fairgrounds and find shopping opportunities along the way.
