Information about Kalispell, Montana and Areacodes 406-758
The Great Falls of Montana has long been a tourist attraction for people visiting Montana. The history of this country is as intriguing as the lands themselves, and people can see sites that tell the story of this era. The area's inhabitants were Bannock Indians, who built a fortress across the mouth of the Yellowstone River, afterwards called the Great Falls of Montana. After the state was incorporated in 1858, four Falls--the Silver Dike, Great Falls, Bighorn Falls, and St. Francis Falls--were assembled, but the previous one was not finished before the 1930s.
The landscape of Montana's southwest corner is dominated by the Rockies, which offer breathtaking views of the North and South Misty Mountains. There are lots of trail systems from the state, some of which will take you across the banks of the several rivers and canals, and many others of that end beyond farmhouses and stone buildings at the quaint, historic cities of Helena, Missoula, Bozeman, and Missoula. The main attractions in the country are, of course, the parks, including Glacier National Park and Glacier National Park's Jasper Ridge region. Also, through the Ironwood Wilderness, which can be situated south of the Glacier National Park border, visitors can push along the Yellowstone River's course. While there, the visitor can take part in tours and learn more about the geysers of the Yellowstone River Valley.
Missoula is often considered the"gateway to the west," due to its close association with the British settlements of Britain and Canada. Waterfalls, wooded hills, and crystal-clear lakes characterize its landscape. Additionally, there are beautiful, historical cities and towns in the city, such as Yellow Medicine (pop) 46000), in which one can enjoy the thrills of horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, and boating. Is a wonderful place to visit, and the Old Capitol Building is famous. A number of the different regions of the state that make wonderful holidays are: Bigfork, where guests can rent cottages or bed and breakfasts; Bozeman, where you can enjoy horseback riding and biking; Missoula, that offers canoeing and trekking; and Kalispell, which includes some of the finest breweries in the country.
