The Great Falls of Montana has long been a tourist attraction for those visiting Montana. The history of the state is as fascinating as the lands and people can see websites which tell the story of this era. The area's first residents were Bannock Indians, who built a fortress along the Yellowstone River's mouth referred to as the Great Falls of Montana. Following the state had been incorporated in 1858, four Falls--the Silver Dike, Great Falls, Bighorn Falls, and St. Francis Falls--were constructed, but the previous one wasn't completed until the 1930s.
The landscape of Montana's southwest corner is dominated by the Rockies, which provide breathtaking views of the North and South Misty Mountains and the rolling farmlands that surround them. There are many trail systems from the state, some of which can take you across the banks of the several rivers and canals, and many others of which wind beyond farmhouses and stone buildings in the quaint, historic towns of Helena, Missoula, Bozeman, and Missoula. The main attractions in the state are, of course, the parks, including Glacier National Park and Glacier National Park's Jasper Ridge area. Additionally, along the course of the Yellowstone River, people can drive through the Ironwood Wilderness, which can be located south of the Glacier National Park border. The visitor can take part and learn more about the geysers of the Yellowstone River Valley while there.
Missoula is often considered the"gateway to the west," because of its close association with the British settlements of Britain and Canada. Waterfalls, wooded hills, and crystal-clear lakes characterize its vast landscape. There are also beautiful, historical cities and towns in town, such as Yellow Medicine (pop) 46000), where you can enjoy the thrills of horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, and boating. Is a superb place and the Old Capitol Building is famous. Some of the other regions of the country that make fantastic holidays are: Bigfork, where visitors can rent cabins or bed and breakfasts; Bozeman, where you can enjoy horseback riding and biking; Missoula, that features canoeing and trekking; and Kalispell, which features some of the finest breweries in the nation.
