Area Code 360 - Information about Washington

The first time I visited the Washington area was in 1995. Back then I was a couple of years older than most people in my group and so our stay in Tacoma, Washington would be three months. Two of us women went to college at Lacey College in Bremerton, WA.

We were there for what seemed like many years. Eventually, we decided to go home and we got married there. After we got a house in Seattle, I moved on to Lacey to be near my parents. Now, I live here.

My husband and I are very thankful for our stay in Lacey. The college was very welcoming and easy to get to. We really appreciated the daycare and the safe neighborhood, despite the fact that it was so close to Tacoma. When we first moved into our new house, the people in town who knew my family back in Lacey told us that it was better to live in a small town like Lacey. It was because of this reason that they suggested we move to Bremerton.

However, when I think about my husband's feelings for me, I am most grateful for my stay in Lacey. I miss those wonderful people that are living in my hometown. It is like a part of me is missing without them.

Now, it is my good choice to move back to Bremerton and to live here. Yes, I am making a mistake. I regret that decision a lot. I also regret that I am getting old and I am getting used to the hard life.

Now, when I am in Bremerton, I can see all the beautiful things that Washington has to offer. There are parks and seashores and beaches and I love that the ocean is right across the street from my house. It is very relaxing, being close to the ocean. Plus, I love the weather and the fact that there is a state park just minutes away makes me so happy.

Some final thoughts before I go. I am leaving now, but I do not wish for anyone to go away. I am very sorry to those people who left town, but I love the people of Bremerton. They have made me so much happier.

Lastly, you should be proud of your Washington State lifestyle. I love where I live and I know everyone else is loving where they live too. So, to all the folks that said goodbye to their hometown, why don't you come and join me in Bremerton? You can find many wonderful things in Bremerton.
